Do You Want to Know The Ways to Discipline A Child?

Do You Want to Know The Ways to Discipline A Child?
discipline a child who won’t listen

Are you interested to know the ways to discipline a child – You can thanks me later for it!

How do you know if your child has behavior problems?

Some of the typical behaviors of a child with Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) include: Easily angered, annoyed or irritated. Frequent temper tantrums. Argues frequently with adults, particularly the most familiar adults in their lives, such as parents

What are behavioral problems in children?

These may include:

  • attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)
  • autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • anxiety disorder.
  • depression.
  • bipolar disorder.
  • learning disorders.
  • conduct disorders.

Types of Punishment for a Child

Certainly there are few creative punishment for a child so they could obey you!

  • Time-Ins. Most parents would give their kids time-outs for bad behavior, wherein the kids sit silently in a corner.
  • Make them do Chores.
  • Tidy Up the Clutter
  • Punishment Jar.
  • Cool-Off Time.
  • Exercise.
  • Practice.
  • Timer.

Dos and Don’ts When Your Kids Won’t Listen

  • Do set limits and keep them.
  • Do find opportunities for praise. It’s important to pay attention to what your child is doing.
  • Do be a parent, not a buddy.
  • Don’t view discipline as punishment. Discipline may feel as though you’re punishing your kids.
  • Don’t threaten or explode.

How to Get 5-12 Year Olds to Obey You and Do As “They’re Told”

  • No longer will you have to threaten, scream, and shout to get something done.
  • You don’t need to look far to see strife between parents and their children (of all ages).
  • It’s not new and never has been, (“How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to have a thankless child!” – Shakespeare, King Lear). Family strife is bad at best.
  • At worst, it can utterly destroy the relationship you have with your own children and cause them to pass on this dreadful relationship to your grandchildren.
  • Some research shows that beating, spanking, slapping, and other forms of physical punishment don’t work well to correct a child’s behavior.

But How Do I do That?

So, how do you discipline a child who won’t listen, not only successfully, but in a way that your children will understand and appreciate?

Parenting is hard work.

For most of us, parenting doesn’t come easily and there are no real training programs and no manuals that can show us what to do when.

You need a professional and experienced person help.

Fortunately there is a book from Dr Darryl Cross which gives you precise information about this subject.

This book shows how to get your children to cooperate and behave by outlining practical guidelines about how to really love them on the one hand and set firm rules on the other.

This book (both in hard cover and audio format) has been a real blessing for hundreds and hundreds of parents.

This books shows:

  • Why the first 7 years in life are the most critical
  • Why we seem to say the same thing to our children day after day and nothing seems to change
  • How to find the balance in parenting
  • How to set up a clear program for everyone to follow
  • How to get your child to do as you ask the first time
  • How to deal with aggression
  • How you and your partner can agree on parenting
  • How to improve your child’s self-confidence
  • How to create more family harmony and cooperation.

Personally, I do prefer audio books (mp3) so you grasp right intents of the author however you can still go with hard cover version.

Plus you can return or replacement of any product within 60 days from the date of purchase.
